If I were talking to a friend or family member about buying online the pros  I would say is that, it is easy to look for exactly what you want to buy. It is fast, as in you don't have to go to the store, instead you can just go to your computer and shop on online stores. The cons are, you can get scammed by someone and they can take your money. And sometimes the shipping isn't the best so things can break on the way to where they are being shipped.
You know if a site is trusted by if the site has good ratings and good reviews. Internet fraud is when someone is claiming to be selling a product and someone else buys it but the person just takes their money and never gives them the thing that they were claiming to be selling. People are concerned about this because they don't want their money to go to someone and so they don't get what they were buying. What you can do to protect yourself from internet fraud is to check the seller's ratings and reviews and if they are good and people leave good comments about them, then they are a good seller to buy from. But if they have a bad rating and people's reviews are negative towards the seller, then they are probably not the best person to buy things from. If you are a victim of internet fraud then go to the online store manager and tell them what happened and they can usually get you your money back, and ban the seller from the site. It is not ever okay to use your parents credit card without permission because that is taking their money, which is a form of stealing, and you could get in big trouble for that.
